. – .ho già avuto modo di scriverlo- è un ottimo pianista che non gode del successo internazionale che meriterebbe. Da molti anni interpreta un pianismo estremamente rigoroso, tecnicamente senza errori ma con una espressività che è del tutto non comune. Rifugge sa inutili virtuosismi ma ha al suo attivo un panorama molto ampio di autori di epoche differenti anche se privilegia il periodo beethoveniano-mozartiano. E’ comunque sempre un piacere ascoltarlo sapendo fin dall’inizio che sarà una performance di qualità. Un bis chopiniano. Purtroppo dalle prime file ho avuto l’impressione di un pianoforte non all’altezza con molti toni metallici pregiudizievoli della qualità del suono. Comunque un’ottima interpretazione del non spesso eseguito concerto di Mozart. Nella seconda parte una sinfonia di Sibelius. Posso dire che mi è sempre sembrato un autore sopravvalutato. Anche questa prima sinfonia pare più un insieme di temi che non hanno però una loro legame logico. Il direttore Folon è un giovane molto energetico che non si risparmia nel tentativo di ottenere una esecuzione di qualità di un brano molto discutibile. Bravo ma forse ancora un po’ troppo acerbo: aspettiamo di vedere come maturerà vista anche la sua giovanissima età. Un buon successo di pubblico.

PS Un “blogger” non è un oracolo e commette inevitabilmente errori (il minimo possibile..). Ricevo spesso “correzioni” non sempre fondamentali e non sempre precise. Così come io mi sottopongo al giudizio altrui con nome e cognome così chi vorrà avere la bontà di segnalarmi eventuali errori o imprecisioni dovrà farlo unicamente mandando un commento: a ognuno la propria responsabilità. Emmanuel Ax — as I have already written — is an excellent pianist who does not enjoy the international success he would deserve. For many years he has cultivated an extremely rigorous pianism, technically flawless yet endowed with an uncommon expressiveness. He avoids unnecessary virtuosity, yet his repertoire spans a very wide range of composers from different periods, even though he tends to favour the Beethoven–Mozart era. In any case, it is always a pleasure to hear him, knowing from the outset that the performance will be of high quality. A Chopin encore. Unfortunately, from the front rows I had the impression that the piano was not up to standard, with many metallic tones that compromised the quality of the sound. Still, it was an excellent interpretation of Mozart’s not‑often‑performed concerto. The second half featured a Sibelius symphony. I must say that he has always struck me as an overrated composer. Even this First Symphony seems more like a collection of themes that lack a true logical connection. The conductor, Folon, is a very energetic young man who spares no effort in trying to deliver a quality performance of a highly debatable work. He is talented, though perhaps still a bit not mature; we shall see how he develops, given his very young age. A good success with the audience.

PS A “blogger” is not an oracle and inevitably makes errors (the minimum possible..). I often receive “corrections” not always fundamental and not always accurate.
